WELCOME
We like to think of ourselves as being somewhat in control of our lives. But events and circumstances often conspire to set us off course.
It is within our capacity to reframe events that have affected us, so that they no longer have such a hold on us.
“New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.” – Lao Tzu
You may be feeling stuck, sad, alone, totally lost or hopeless and are looking for ways to change that. Maybe there is a problem within your relationship or in your family and you need outside support. Or maybe you are curious about how counselling can help you to grow and reach your full potential.
Words are how we think; conversations are how we link.
I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your
transformation journey.

ABOUT ME
Prior to completing my Masters degree (2001), I attained my Nursing degree at the University of Pretoria (1995) and worked as a Registered Nurse. In 2000 I started my own nursing practice. I am passionate about people and their journeys to physical and psychological wellbeing.
I believe that our stories shape us. Everybody has a story. When I was a child, people sat around kitchen tables or camp fires and told their stories. We don't do that so much anymore. Life rushes us along. Most often, it takes something unforeseen and unwanted to stop us. The stories are about the same things, stories of having and losing, of power, of pain, of wounding, of courage, hope, and healing, of loneliness and the end of loneliness. It is our choice of how we make meaning of these experiences and in which way we will be shaped.
I gravitate toward positive psychology interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy. I view the counselling relationship as a partnership where two people work towards a goal. I believe that change is linked to perspective and sometimes we just need someone to walk with us on our journey of growth and renewal.
